Maternity

Maternity photo sessions show the wonder and beauty of your growing baby bump and capture the harmony of mom and baby.

Pregnancy is an exciting time and I’m thrilled to be able to help you capture that moment!

When is the best time to schedule my maternity session?
As soon as you find out that you are pregnant, feel free to contact me to secure your date. Its ideal to take maternity photos when you are between 32 to 36 weeks.

Where will the session take place?
Your maternity shoot can take place at your home, or at another location of your choice. Popular spots for maternity shots are the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens (no additional charge) and Dallas Arboretum ($30 additional charge).

What should I wear? What should I bring?

Stick to white or pastels and avoid strong colors and trends. You don’t want to look back in 10 or 20 years and think “what was I wearing?!”. I prefer a simple flowy dress and sticking to neutral and pastel colors.

Avoid heavy makeup. You want to look like an enhanced version of yourself, and that’s it. Same goes for nails, simple white or light pink polishes.

Choose a fit that’s right for you. All pregnant bodies are not created equal, so choose a dress or outfit that will accentuate your bump. Something with a waistband that sits above the bump usually works well because it essentially gives you the waist you’re missing due to pregnancy!

Don’t feel limited to just a dress. You can wear a pretty cream sweater or jeans and a nice top. Keep a neutral, natural look but switch it up for something that works for you.

You may also want to bring a sonogram picture or other special items, like baby booties or blocks with your child’s name.

Who will be included in the session?
Your significant other and children are welcome to be included in the photographs at no additional cost. I would be happy to take some time to do a mini session of your other children.
